The shared browser

Sign in to a site once and your agents can use it. When a site needs a person for a captcha or a 2FA code, you get pinged, do that one step, and the agent carries on.

Every cloud workspace runs a real Chromium browser. Your agents browse with it, and you can see it and use it yourself. Because it's one browser, a login you do there is a login your agents have too, and it stays saved when the workspace restarts or updates.

On the Delegated desktop app, agents use your own Chrome on your computer instead, with the sites you're already signed in to.

Sign in once

  1. Open the browser

In the web console, open More → Browser in the sidebar. You see the browser your agents use, live, and you can click and type in it.

  2. Sign in to the site

Go to the site (for example LinkedIn) and sign in as you normally would, including any 2FA step. Delegated never asks for your password; you type it into the site yourself.

  3. Ask your agent

That's it. Ask an agent to do something on the site (“Blaze, check the comments on my last LinkedIn post”) and it uses your signed-in session.

When a site needs you: captcha, 2FA or a login

Sometimes a site stops an agent with something only a person can do: a captcha, a code sent to your phone or email, or a login the agent doesn't have. The agent doesn't give up, and it never asks you for a password or code in chat. Instead:

  1. You get pinged

You get a notification on your phone (in the Delegated app) saying which agent needs you and why, for example “Blaze needs you in the browser: LinkedIn wants a 2FA code”. It also shows under Needs you on Home and as a card in that agent's chat.

  2. Do that one step

Tap the notification or Open the browser. The browser is already on the page that needs you. Solve the captcha, enter the code, or sign in.

  3. Tap Done, carry on

Tap Done, carry on (in the chat card, on Home, or at the top of the Browser view). The agent looks at the page again and continues where it stopped. Tap Skip if you'd rather it didn't.

The agent waits up to 10 minutes. If you don't get to it, the agent tells you in one line what's waiting and gets on with anything else.

Notifications

These pings follow Settings → Notifications → Phone (“Approvals, questions and blocked work”), and they wait during your quiet hours like every other notification. To get them on your phone, install the Delegated app and sign in with the same account.

Good to know

  • A workspace reset starts the browser fresh, so you'll sign in to your sites again afterwards.
  • Cloud workspaces run in a data centre. Some sites (LinkedIn and Google, for example) ask for a 2FA code or a captcha more often from a data centre than from your home, which is exactly when the ping above helps. On the desktop app your agents use your own Chrome at home, so this happens less.
  • You stay in control of what agents do on sites: posting, sending messages and spending money still need your approval unless you've turned that off under Permissions.

Your passwords stay yours

Agents never ask for passwords or codes in chat, and Delegated doesn't store the passwords you type into sites. The browser keeps the site's own signed-in session, exactly like your own browser does.
